Accessibility
Where this site stands on accessibility, what is still missing and how to tell us if something does not work for you.
Effective October 8, 2026
1. Our commitment
We want everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to learn about our courses and enroll. We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.
Aiming to follow those guidelines is not the same as certifying that we meet them: we have not had an independent audit. That is why we tell you what is in place, what we know is missing and how to let us know.
2. What is already in place
- a link to skip to the main content;
- full keyboard navigation, with a visible focus indicator;
- text and buttons with good contrast, in light and dark mode;
- text that can be enlarged without losing content;
- descriptions (alt text) on photos that carry information;
- an enrollment form with a label on every field and clear error messages next to the field;
- animations and the home page video stop if your device has "reduce motion" turned on, and the video has a pause button;
- the review carousel stops when you hover or touch it, and has arrows that work with the keyboard;
- pages organized with headings and regions for screen readers.
3. Known limitations
- The map on the Contact page is from Google Maps, and its accessibility depends on Google. The address is also written out next to the map.
- The paper enrollment form is a downloadable document, in Spanish, that may not be accessible to screen readers. You can use the online form or call us.
- The student reviews are shown in their original language, Spanish.
- The deposit is paid on a Stripe page, which we do not control.
4. How to report a barrier
If something on the site does not work for you, let us know and we will help you with the information or enrollment while we fix it:
- Phone: 787-218-8642 (Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.)
- Email: preinstitute.pr@gmail.com
If you can, tell us which page, what you were trying to do and what technology you use (for example, your screen reader).
5. Other ways to enroll
If you prefer not to use the site, call us or visit our office at 101 Calle Méndez Vigo Oeste, Suite 604, Mayagüez, Puerto Rico 00680, and we will help you enroll.
